Pets Page, Cape San Blas is Dog Friendly!
Cape San Blas, Florida, K9 Magazine's Number One Dog Friendly Beach in America in Fall 2006!
Please Feel Free to Distribute Our Printable Flyer For Your Vet or Groomer! Help Spread the Word about our Pet Friendly Rentals!

In addition to being the #1 Beach in the Nation for People according to "Dr. Beach" in 2002, the Cape was awarded the #1 Dog Friendly Beach in the USA by K9 Magazine. It's hard to find a pet friendly beach these days, and the beaches of Cape San Blas, FL, allow your dogs anytime! The Cape is a fantastic vacation destination for families who don't want to leave their dog behind!
Our dog-friendly beaches are a great place for an early-morning walk. The dogs love to chase the ghost crabs into their holes, "greet" other dogs they meet. We know your dog is a part of your family too, and we are delighted to have them with you in our rental properties.
Our Pet Policy
Pets are welcome at all our properties on a limited basis.
First rule is, they must be well-behaved dogs ONLY! Sorry, no cats or other pets allowed! Additionally, we reserve the right to restrict the number of dogs and/or certain breeds of dogs (due to insurance requirements). You must have prior written approval for each dog that you will bring and your pet must be housebroken and well-behaved. The pet fee is $100 per pet, per week. You will be responsible for any damages as well as additional cleaning due to pet hair or treatment needs due to fleas or "accidents.” Please bring your pet’s bedding as they are not permitted on the furniture or bedding. We do provide pet bowls, pet towels and pet sheets, though!

In signing our pet contract you agree to:

Guest linens and towels will not be used on your pet (pet towels are provided). Pet towels should not be washed in the same load as guest towels, please
10. Dogs will not be washed in the bathtubs or showers inside the unit. This must be done in the outside shower or with a hose in the carport.
11. No personal pet beds or other such items will be put in our washer or dryer.
Gulf County's Leash Law
The pet law in Gulf County states that pets on leashes are welcome on the beaches of Gulf County, except within the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Animals must remain on the leash at all times while on the beach, and owners must remove any remnants left behind by the animal, so please carry baggies on all beach adventures. Complying with the Leash Law is really important, particularly with regard to picking up after your dog, so we can continue to enjoy the privilege of bringing our dogs onto the beach! From The Gulf County Tourist Developement Council, "For those traveling with pets, we'd like to say that we love animals in Gulf County. Within the State Parks, however, pets are unfortunately not allowed on the beach. On all other beaches, pets on a leash are more than welcome to take their owners for walks and enjoy the great water and beach."
